After studying some menus I decided on Bocconcini and sheepishly requested a table for one (note: I have no issue eating alone, but always feel guilty taking up a table that would normally service two), but the man who greeted me was more than lovely and seated me on a bench seat for me to peruse the menu further.

| Large Soy Latte $4.50 |
I ordered my usual soy latte - large. It was delicious and smooth and creamy, not bitter. Just how I like it.

| Sweetcorn Fritters $17 |
I am partial to a corn fritter, so ordered the Sweetcorn Fritters. I really enjoyed these. They were fluffy and tasty, and the capsicum relish was the perfect balance of flavours. My only criticism would be that the menu said they were corn and halloumi fritters, however I could not taste any halloumi.
I finished brunch with a second coffee and enjoyed a bit of time reading my book, and never once felt like a burden being a solo diner.
Food: 8/10
Value: 7/10
Would I return: if I was a local this seems like the place that could be my regular, however there are a tonne more places I would try in Daylesford if I go back.
